In popular conversation we frequently hear about the importance of loving ourselves. People are told to love themselves more. They are told they won’t be able to love another person until they learn to love themselves. We are told we need to learn to love ourselves to succeed in life. While psychologists have beat the self-love drum since the 1960’s, the Bible has a different way of looking at this subject.
